![]() In my view, this resort should be taken off from your portfolio. On the plus side I did lose weight on this vacation! The diving saved this vacation. Service at all the restaurants was slow, we began to expect a 2 hour eating experience at any restaurant (apart from the buffets). ![]() It was room temp if you were lucky at any restaurant we tried at Sunscape or Secrets. The worst part of the stay (apart from the Unlimited Vacation sales Pitch) was the food, We were there for 14 days and not once did we get a hot meal. The daily Pringles and M&M's was a nice touch. Turn down was anytime between 6 and 10 so some nights you got it sometimes you didn't. We did ask that our room be cleaned at 10 am daily and it was generally upheld. Some days you had facecloths, some days you didn't, hand towels maybe/maybe not. Housekeeping replenishing was inconsistent. We did have a problem(leak) with the Air Conditioner and it was fixed promptly. The storage space was limited, we asked for extra hangers and they were brought up to our room promptly. The spa was located at the sister property and is well appointed and a true pampering experience. Other exceptional staff include, Carlos, Vicki, Adrianna, George (Oceana). The next morning we met with our VIP concierge all VIP staff was exceptional especially Mariana at the VIP pool area. He brought us to the VIP check in area as it was early evening when we arrived. ![]() Upon arrival Yussell took excellent care to ensure that we were welcomed and comfortable. We did upgrade to Preferred Club - Oceanview and are very glad we did. The resort met many of our requirements, Adult Only, All-Inclusive, Beach and diving access. We were a party of 4 who were looking to change up from our normal February Diving holiday. I lost the last three days of my vacation to being sick and I'm still sick. I would imagine that whoever stayed in our room after us will probably be sick as well as unless the room is sanitized appropriately the germs will be everywhere. This resort truly needs to undertake exceptional methods to prevent people from getting sick. I have worked in healthcare for the last 30 years and have never been sick from my patients. I saw staff members leaving the washroom that I was using and they did not wash their hands. I have travelled for 30 years and have never been sick. ![]() Not once did I ever see hand sanitizer at the restaurants. A group of 14 that it only been there three days had 6 of them sick in bed. We spoke to many others on the resort who were also sick. So it was quite obvious where we got sick, yet when we reported it to the desk they blamed us for being sick that we could not prove we got sick on the resort. At no point did any of us eat off the resort or on the airplane. Every morning we ordered from room service, not once did they get our order correct.įour of us travelled together and all four of us were sick by the time we left the resort. And a few of the restaurants portions were so tiny that you felt hungry when you left the restaurant. Most of the food was bland and tasteless. There are many broken tiles in the pool and my boyfriend cut his foot in 3 places. Unless you book a preferred club type of room you were not allowed to use a certain pool that faced the ocean and as such the pool that we were allowed to use did not have any view of the ocean. We booked a junior swim up room but it didn't look anything like the pictures. This Secrets resort in Cozumel does not meet five star standards. Having been to a Secrets Resort in Huatulco Mexico last year we had high expectations. We were very disappointed that this resort was not as we had hoped.
